MCR Affiliation

As set out in our constitution, MCR affiliation membership is available for visiting graduate students or researchers.

Privileges of MCR Affiliates:

• Attendance at Postgraduate Suppers during Full Term
• Use of the MCR (the Postgraduate common room) and adjacent kitchenette
• Access to MCR-organised functions and activities
• Access to Formal Hall dinners (tickets must be purchased online in advance)
• Access to the Buttery for meals, charged at the Newnham student rate
• Access to the College Library during office hours for reading (no borrowing)
• Discounted student rates in the Iris Café and Bar
• Use of a University (Visitor’s) Card

To apply for MCR affiliation membership, complete the application form before the deadlines:

• Lent 2025: 14 January 2025
• Easter 2025: 22 April 2025
• Michaelmas 2025: 30 September 2025

MCR affiliate membership costs £50 per term.
