Welcome Week

If you are joining Newnham as a graduate student this coming autumn, welcome! This website is about the MCR (Middle Common Room) which is the community of graduate students at Newnham. The MCR has a committee whose roles are to represent you, the student body. We will be sending out all the information you need about arriving at Newnham closer to the start of term. During the first few weeks of term the Newnham MCR committee will be holding a wide range of events to help you settle into life at Cambridge and get familiar with Newnham. The schedule will be put up as soon as everything has been finalised, but it is likely to include events like guided tours of college and Cambridge city centre, trips to places like Grantchester, the Botanic Gardens and Fitzwilliam Museum, film nights, quiz nights and a Champagne Brunch. Lots of opportunity for you get get to know your fellow Newnhamites.
